Glenn Ford and Eleanor Powell were wed on October 23rd, 1943 while Glenn was in between stints at Camp Pendleton.  Under the circumstances of wartime, they decided that a simple ceremony would be best held at Eleanor’s home and with a minimum of fuss.  Eleanor wore a cream colored satin gown and held a long spray of white orchids.  Glenn was in impeccable Marines dress form.
