Robert Taylor and Eleanor Parker. I couldn’t find what the award was for. It’s not Oscar because he doesn’t have his arms raised in the air. Taylor and Parker had starred together in Above And Beyond (1952), Valley Of The Kings (1954) and Many Rivers To Cross (1955). They had an affair while filming Above And Beyond. At the time Parker was married and Taylor had recently divorced Barbara Stanwyck. When they started working together on Valley Of The Kings, Parker was divorced and Taylor was involved with actress Ursula Thiess. He married Thiess and Parker broke down in tears upon hearing the news. She had to pull herself together to make her third film with Taylor. Even Stanwyck was saddened by the news.

tbqh if Bob was to divorce Missy anyway, I really really wish he had stayed with Eleanor. I could never care for Thiess, such a plain, uninteresting woman.
